Are the Costs Allowable, Allocable and Reasonable

Scenario: The PI has an NIH research grant to Assess the Affects of Eating Powerbars vs. Drinking Only Water in Athletes Overall Stamina and Running Ability. There are many human subjects participating as runners in this study, which will take place in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. This project will take place over 2 days and some participants will have to travel to the site. The proposal included a detailed justification of the costs of the running event including food and hotel expenses for all the participants.
